Driving from Canada for the game tomorrow and hotel is on South Broad...Any suggestions for food around there? Also is it best to just drive to the game and park or is there a better option for transportation?

You can take the Broad St line to the arena, there's food atXfinity live & McFaddens which are at the stadiums.

If you want a really good cheesesteak, head to Johns Roast Pork. It's on Snyder Ave

Mason naturally doesn't get his due because the media is just too lazy to look beyond the stats and watch what he does, game in and game out - though he currently holds a better save % than Quick, Lundqvist, Rask, and Crawford.

I'd like to point out (and I'm sure others have already mentioned this) Mason currently is tied for 7th in save percentage in the NHL. If you look at just the save percentage leaders who have played at least 30 games, he is tied for fourth, fifth if you count Brian Elliot who has only played 23 due to injury.

And this is all despite playing for a team that is "below .500." With the exception of Craig Anderson, he is the only goaltender ranked that high in save percentage who has played more than 30 games and plays for a team with an even or losing record.

If I'm not mistaken

Check out the Good Dog Bar at Walnut and S. 15th Street. It's just a block off of Broad.

The food is good here as well as having a good beer selection if fancy beers are your thing.

With respect to the pads: Marc-Andre Fleury used to wear bright yellow pads. After a few years, he learned that it was advantageous to other shooters since they could see the puck/net more clearly due to the contrast. He has since switched to white pads.

Just a thought.

100 percent this.

while i dont necessarily think he is better than all of the guys you listed, mason is a damn fine goalie. certainly a guy you can build around.

while masons numbers are pretty good when standing on their own, i dont think numbers ever show the whole picture. until someone finds a way to adequately convey the quality of the shot attempt against.

same way a lot of players dont opt for white tape on their sticks. dont want the goalies to see the contrast of the puck on their blade.
